BLURB: Cora and Dean met in high school and never got along.  They spent years pranking each other and trying to get on the others nerves.  It doesn't help that Dean is engaged to Cora's older sister, so she'll have him as a brother-in-law for the rest of her life.  One fateful night, both of them are kidnapped by a mad man.  They wake up chained to opposite ends of a basement and must work together to survive.

Wow. I began reading this book on my lunch break and I was still upset when I got back to my desk.  It comes with a trigger warning and that should definitely be taken seriously.  I felt all of the emotions, I was upset, angry, repulsed, sad, frustrated, and then melancholy.  This book chewed me up and spit me back out.  It was a beautiful story of two people who bonded over a difficult time. The author does a great job of writing how each character was feeling.  As the characters grew and healed, so did I.  

I highly highly recommend this book.
